Protect your business from scams

Remember three simple steps: Stop. Check. Reject.

If you're concerned you might have been scammed or are worried about the security of your accounts, call 13 1998

Stop. Check. Reject.

  1. Stop - Does a call, email or text seem off? The best thing to do is stop. Take a breath. Real organisations won’t put you under pressure to act instantly.
  2. Check - Ask someone you trust or contact the organisation the message claims to be from.
  3. Reject - If you’re unsure, hang up on the caller, delete the email, block the phone number. Change your password if you think someone else may have it, and make sure you pick something long and unique.

Our cyber security features

Reduce false-billing scams

In an Australian banking first, NameCheck prompts you if the account details on a first-time, non-bulk payment don’t look right. This can help protect from business email compromise scams and mistaken payments.

Verify it's CommBank calling

CallerCheck allows you to verify whether a caller claiming to be from CommBank is legitimate, by triggering a security message in your CommBank app.

We'll identify you to ensure it's really you

We may need to identify you before assisting with certain transactions in-branch. We may use CustomerCheck, which sends a message to your CommBank app, or other identification methods. This helps ensure we’re speaking with the right person and helps protect you from fraud.
