Alan Docherty

Alan Docherty has been Group Chief Financial Officer since May 2018.

He joined Commonwealth Bank of Australia in 2003. Alan was previously Chief Financial Officer of the Institutional Banking and Markets.

Alan has more than 20 years’ experience within the financial services sector in both the UK and Australia. Prior to joining CBA, Alan worked for PwC in the UK, and Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young in Australia.

He has a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Glasgow, and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Alan is married with three daughters.
