Due to an industry-wide eftpos update affecting debit cards, we recommend that you, as an impacted customer, remove and re-add your debit card details in your Apple digital wallet(s) by 31 December 2024. Otherwise, you’ll be unable to pay using eftpos in your digital wallet(s) from midnight 31 December 2024. You can find out more about this on the eftpos website.
To keep using eftpos in your Tap & Pay digital wallet, you should download the latest version of the CommBank app by 31 December 2024.
If you experience problems with eftpos transactions from 1 Jan 2025, please use an alternative means to pay, for example your physical card, or Mastercard/Visa option in the Tap & Pay wallet.

When you present your phone at a terminal to pay, you can choose: Mastercard/Visa or eftpos SAV/CHQ. As a CommBank Tap & Pay customer you need to download the latest version of the CommBank app by 31 December 2024 to keep using eftpos in your Tap & Pay digital wallet.
