Commonwealth Bank (CBA) has today announced it will establish banking operations in Nauru, following the exit of the existing banking provider from the island. CBA expects to commence services in the second half of 2025.

This update follows the announcement of a Treaty between the Governments of Australia and Nauru earlier today.

Providing the people of Nauru with banking services is an important element of our nations’ partnership and CBA looks forward to supporting our new customers.

CBA will work closely with the Australian Government and the Government of Nauru to effect a smooth transition of services.
