If you feel like things are costing more lately, you’re not alone. Almost all Australians are concerned about the rising cost of living, according to new research from CommBank, with respondents noticing an increase in the amount they paid for groceries, coffee, eating out and utility bills over the last six months.
With costs feeling like they’re on the rise, the research found Australians are taking a closer look at their spending, with close to two-thirds saying they’ve created or updated their budget for spending.
The research comes as CommBank launches a new video in partnership with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS)[1] designed to share savings hacks to help support customers with their financial wellbeing. Titled ‘How simple changes can make saving easier’, the video follows two friends as they explore how they can make simple changes today to start saving in order to enjoy the benefits in the future.
Take a look at the video to see how the friends put their savings hacks to use to meet their goals.
