Matt Comyn, CEO of Commonwealth Bank, has today (5 March 2022) paid tribute to Australian cricketer, sporting and community legend, Shane Warne who has died suddenly at the age of 52.
"We’re shocked at the news of the death of Shane Warne, one of Australia's and the world's greatest cricketers," said Mr Comyn.
"We recall his generosity and support for the communities so terribly affected by the 2019 bushfires and were proud to have helped him raise much needed funds when he auctioned his Baggy Green cap. Our condolences to his family, friends and the cricketing community."
