Executive General Manager Regional and Agribusiness, Grant Cairns, said: “We recognise this plague is having a significant impact on farmers, many of whom, have been working hard to recover from a prolonged drought, bushfires and the pandemic.”
“These impacts are being felt by farmers and in the surrounding regional communities and businesses, so we are committed to supporting these communities and customers, as we have done in the past.
“We understand that each customer will have different needs and we encourage our affected customers to call 1800 314 695 or speak with their dedicated CommBank relationship manager.
“We have support measures available for impacted customers, depending on their circumstances, including pausing business loan repayments on asset finance and eligible business loans; waiving business loan restructures fees and charges; and extending business loan term agreements.
Businesses may also be eligible to have fees and notice periods waived on Cash Deposit and Farm Management Deposit Accounts. CBA will also refund merchant terminal fees for up to 90 days for eligible customers.
“I encourage any individual or businesses who are impacted to contact us so that we can discuss specific circumstances and a tailored solution to support them.”
