Looking to keep on top of your spending? Category budgets lets you set weekly, fortnightly or monthly budgets for different categories of your spending - from entertainment to transport, eating out and shopping. You can see at a glance how your actual spend compares to the budget you set yourself, to help you stay on track.
Category budgets won’t limit or ‘cap’ your spending, and you can update your budgets any time.
You can track how you’re spending against each of your budgets from the CommBank app home screen.
Choose a budget cycle – weekly, fortnightly, or monthly – and when you’d like to begin budgeting.
We suggest aligning to the frequency of your salary or other regular payment.
Select which CommBank accounts you want to track and set a budget for each of your chosen categories.
As a guide to help set your budget, we’ll show your current average spend over the last 3 months in each category, but you can choose to budget more or less. You can also adjust your budget at any time.
Your spending will be automatically tracked and displayed on the CommBank app home screen.
You’ll be able to easily see how much you’ve spent and what’s left in each category. Your budget settings can be changed any time by clicking the cog symbol. To edit a specific budget, click the category and select the three dots in the top right corner.
Bill Sense predicts your future bills and helps you manage regular payments and bills, so you can plan and stay ahead of bill payments.
Cash Flow View gives you the complete picture of your income, spending and saving habits, as well as how you’re trending month-to-month.
Spend Tracker categorises every debit and credit card transaction, making it easier to see the impact your spending decisions have on your everyday finances.
We’ll protect you from losses due to unauthorised transactions on personal and business accounts when you take the necessary steps to stay safe online.
The CommBank app is free to download however your mobile network provider charges you for accessing data on your phone.
