Commonwealth Bank is supporting Australian Red Cross in its emergency work for Australian communities affected by floods in Queensland, fires in Tasmania and Victoria, as well as other emergencies as and when they happen.

Working closely with Red Cross’ Disaster Relief and Recovery team, CBA will donate $100,000 to activate a drive in nationwide funding to support communities in disaster areas.

Donations to Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery can be made in Commonwealth Bank branches across Australia from Monday and via CANGive, in the CommBank App, over the weekend. Donations will be accepted until 1 March.

All funds raised through branches and CANGive will assist in the emergency preparedness, response and recovery of communities at risk of, or impacted by, disasters.

Special arrangements are in place to provide support to Commonwealth Bank and CommInsure customers should they need it, and staff are ready to assist them with any financial concerns or enquiries.
