Accessibility Mode provides a number of ways for your customers who are blind or have low vision to complete a transaction.
These methods include tapping the card, swiping or inserting the card, and using tactile indicators to enter a PIN.
The Smart terminal has clear, tactile indicators around the screen to assist customers with orientation of the device when entering their PIN on the terminal.
We’ve created an accessibility guide, which provides important information for you and your staff. It explains how to use the Accessibility Mode on your Smart terminal, and how your customers who are blind or have low vision can activate the feature and complete a transaction.
We recommend you keep a copy of the guide within easy reach for reference as needed. The following videos and transcripts also provide guides on how to activate Accessibility Mode and take payments.
