Help & support
Scams and fraud impact millions of Australians and the problem is growing. That’s why CommBank are offering free Staying Safe Online seminars for community groups across Australia, which provide help and guidance to attendees on how to identify and avoid scams and fraud.
Our knowledgeable presenters encourage engagement, allowing ample time for questions and discussion.
We allow 45 minutes for content and 15 minutes for Q&A. Our team will try to accommodate all questions should we run out of time.
We can accommodate both small and large groups – 5 people is a good minimum, however an audience of 15-20 people usually generates greater discussion.
We’ll need to know your contact person, preferred event date and start time, location, expected audience size, and available equipment to organise a community event – you can provide us with this information via the form on this page.
We’ll do our best to accommodate all requests, however it will be subject to availability of presenters. Ideally, we need around 4 weeks’ notice to organise a community event.
We’ll be sharing a PowerPoint presentation during the session, so you’ll need access to a screen. Please let us know if you need equipment and we may be able to supply them, depending on availability.
People over 65 are more likely to lose money to scams than any other age group, however scams impact all ages. There’s no age limit – it’s important information for everyone, so whoever wants to join is welcome.
No – everyone is welcome.
In addition to Staying Safe Online, we offer seminars covering a variety of topics, including Mastering your Money, Looking to Buy Property and Financial Wellbeing for Women.
These seminars aim to enhance financial capability and empower participants to make informed decisions about their finances. If there’s a particular topic that you think would benefit your organisation, please let us know.
