Data Management

Great data management helps our people and customers have trust in our data. As part of our data management team, you’ll support the bank to understand data, its quality and how it’s used, enabling teams to make better business decisions and drive customer value. You’ll also make sure our critical data has strong governance and sufficient controls in place to manage risks across the data lifecycle. As we move towards democratising data, you’ll help drive high levels of data literacy across all consumers in the business. 

Data Engineering

Here, you’ll be part of a team of engineers going above and beyond to uplift the standard of digital banking. Our data engineers have proven expertise in the design and software development of data-driven solutions and solving our customers most complex data-centric problems. The teams responsible for the Bank’s analytics capabilities and our work is key to creating world-leading capabilities for analytics, information management and decisioning. With security and reliability at the forefront of every interaction, you’ll be driving deep personalisation for every customer.

Data Science

Work on solving some of the most complex data-centric problems facing today's businesses.

You'll be on the frontline of the AI revolution, driving innovative and data-led solutions. Your work will help deliver a customer-centric approach, accelerating the Bank’s ability to deliver more personalised experiences and greater value for our customers. You’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s top data scientists, research & academic partners and industry renowned “Kaggle Grandmasters” as part of our partnership with global leader H2O.ai.

Whether you want to help turn numbers into something meaningful for our customers, harness the power of AI to deliver better business or customer outcomes, or use our leading technology to reimagine products and services - you can do it as part of our data science team. 

Quantitative & Predictive Modelling

These teams build and enhance quantitative and predictive models to support economic, business or financial analysis. Using advanced algorithms, we help our stakeholders understand what their next steps should be. As part of the team, you’ll help the bank understand the reality of multiple business factors with numbers, to better equip teams to deliver great value to our customers.  

Insights Analytics

Our teams use data and analytics to identify customers’ needs and safely provide insights, contact journeys and innovative solutions to deliver world-class experiences. As part of the team you’ll leverage data and innovative technology to deeply understand our customers and derive meaningful insights to support commercial strategy and decision-making. You’ll proactively uncover stakeholder needs and partner with product, data and support teams to provide innovative, accurate and timely solutions to complex opportunities. 

Analytics Engineering & Platform Management

Our job is to build and manage technology platforms and systems designed to extract and consume data. As part of this team, you’ll build simplified and scalable cloud-based data platforms, making sure they’re as advanced and reliable as possible so the business can seamlessly access complex datasets. The systems this team builds and manages are critical to delivering insights and powering AI to help improve our customer experience.

An example of the types of projects we get involved in is using AI to enhance our complaints resolution process.     The opening of our tech hubs across the country means you no longer need to be near our Sydney head office and can be based near Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth.
